The short version
No Gridlock account is required. Puzzle progress, settings, streaks, and history are stored on your device. Daily puzzles ship with the app, so playing does not require a Gridlock server.
Data on your device
Gridlock stores puzzle status, elapsed time, moves, hints, completion dates, settings, and streak information locally. Your operating system may include this app data in its normal iCloud or Google backup according to your device settings.
Optional platform services
- RevenueCat processes purchase status and restores the Plus entitlement.
- Google Mobile Ads and its consent flow serve ads to eligible free-tier players. Declining personalized ads results in non-personalized requests where applicable.
- Game Center or Play Games receives scores only if you choose to use its optional sign-in and leaderboard features.
These providers handle data under their own terms. Gridlock does not operate an account database, advertising profile, or general product-analytics service.
Age and advertising choices
Platform age signals are used to disable personalized advertising for signalled minors. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, the consent flow runs before the first advertising request. If tracking permission is requested on iOS, declining it does not block play.
Your controls
Notifications start off and can be changed in Settings. Advertising consent can be revisited where the consent provider supports it. Choose Erase all local data in Settings to remove local puzzle progress, streaks, and app preferences from the device. Platform backups may remain subject to your operating-system retention rules.
